Thrift store success! I have finally procured (not thru EBay or Etsy because that’s not as fun) a set of un-candles in their original packaging, with trays, with wicks, with instructional leaflet, and all for a mere $2. Boyfriend and I will bask in un-candlelit glow over many a romantic dinner. The quest for the un-candle is equalled only by the joy of finding one hostess set that matches my grandmother’s. I inherited hers when I found three sets at a church thrift store in Michigan that matched them. As a result I can throw a swanky little ladies tea and serve up to 24 people from these little gems. They’re all also in their original boxes —- but alas, Grandma was missing one cup. No longer! Now, for a mere $1.25 I have procured the missing cup and an extra plate. I’ll be throwing imaginary soirées in my head all day if anyone needs me.
