Six Impossible Things

“I daresay you haven’t had much practice,” said the Queen. “When I was your age, I always did it for half-an-hour a day. Why, sometimes I’ve believed in as many as six impossible things before breakfast…”

I’ve been really sick this week with both an ear infection and a cold.  I absolutely never watch television, this week being the rare exception.  While watching “Half A Mile A Day,” a biography of Johnny Cash (whom I adore) I learned that the beloved poet Shel Silverstein (whom I also adore) wrote my favorite Johnny Cash song: A Boy Named Sue.  The song was first recorded at San Quentin and became a huge success.  As you can see from the video above, Shel Silverstein’s talent does not lie in his ability to entertain musically.
